We pair each gourd with a single jade bead and two cords. One cord for hanging. One cord for carrying. The jade bead is not decorative. It is a counterweight, a touchstone, a cool surface to return to when the hand grows warm.
In Chinese tradition, the gourd carries the sound of fulu—fortune and luck. It is not a charm. It is simply a shape that has meant the same thing for a thousand years. We do not claim it brings luck. We only say that people have carried it for that reason, and that the reason has lasted.
What it becomes
The yellow skin you see now will not stay. Within weeks, the surface deepens. Within months, the dry texture shifts to satin. The color moves from yellow to honey, then to amber.
Carried in a pocket, hung from a bag, or held in the hand, the gourd becomes quieter. It absorbs the oil of your skin. It learns the temperature of your thumb. It does not grow old. It grows familiar.
How to carry it

The Thirty-Day Seal
Every MILORN piece arrives sealed with a one-time ring. While the seal holds, the piece is untouched — and returnable, for any reason, within thirty days of delivery. Return postage is yours; everything you paid comes back.
If a piece arrives flawed — cracked, misshapen, damaged by the journey — photograph it and write to us. A new one leaves the bench, selected by the same hand. The first stays with you; nothing comes back.
